Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What is a tea pet and how does the purple clay crocodile tea pet work?

A: A tea pet is a small decorative figurine used in traditional Chinese tea ceremonies. You place it on your tea tray and pour leftover brewed tea over it during each session. The purple clay (Zisha) material gradually absorbs the tea, causing the figurine to deepen in color and develop a smooth, glossy patina over time — making each tea pet truly unique to its owner.

Q: What material is this crocodile tea pet made from?

A: This tea pet is crafted from purple clay (Zisha), a traditional material prized in Chinese tea culture for its porous, absorbent qualities that allow it to "grow" with use. Please note that slight color variations may exist between individual handmade pieces, which is a natural characteristic of the craft.

Q: Is this tea pet a good gift for someone who enjoys tea?

A: Absolutely! This handmade purple clay crocodile tea pet makes a charming and thoughtful gift for anyone who enjoys tea, collects miniature figurines, or appreciates traditional Chinese craftsmanship. It's suitable for use in the home, office, or as a decorative accent on any tea table.

Q: What are the dimensions of this tea pet ornament?

A: The crocodile tea pet measures approximately 5.2 cm in length, 3.2 cm in width, and 4 cm in height — a compact, desk-friendly size perfect for any tea table or display shelf. Please allow for a small dimensional variance due to the handmade nature of the product.
