Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What is the fire pit mat made of, and how heat-resistant is it?
A: The fire pit mat is constructed from 3 layers — two silicone-coated outer layers and one inner glass fibre layer. This combination provides heat resistance up to 800°F (427°C), meaning it will not burn, melt, or warp under the high temperatures generated by fire pits and BBQ grills.
Q: What sizes does the round fireproof mat come in?
A: The mat is available in two sizes: 36 inches (91 cm) and 39 inches in diameter. Both are round-shaped and suitable for standard fire pits, charcoal grills, and kettles.
Q: How do I clean and store the fire pit mat?
A: Cleaning is simple — the waterproof and grease-proof surface can be wiped down with a paper towel or damp cloth to remove grease, mud, or oil. For storage, just roll the mat up tightly; it takes up very little space and is easy to carry for camping or travel.
Q: Can I use this mat on wooden decks and patios?
A: Yes! The fire pit mat is specifically designed to protect wooden decks, patios, concrete, and lawns from charcoal embers, grease splatters, and stains. Its reversible, non-stick surface won't leave marks on the surface beneath it.
