Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What is a dog target training wand and how does it work?
A: A dog target training wand is a stick with a distinct tip — in this case a soft PU end — that you use to direct your dog's nose or paw to a specific point. By rewarding your dog when they touch or follow the tip, you teach them to respond to the wand's movement, making it easy to guide them through commands, tricks, and agility exercises without physical handling.
Q: Is this wand safe for puppies and small dogs?
A: Yes! The soft PU tip is gentle enough for puppies and small breeds. The lightweight plastic handle means it's easy to manoeuvre with precision, making it a great choice for dogs of all sizes and ages.
Q: Can I use this wand for cat training too?
A: Absolutely. While designed primarily for dogs, the wand works excellently as an interactive teaser and target tool for cats. Use it to encourage your cat to follow, jump, or engage in focused play sessions.
Q: Is the wand suitable for outdoor use?
A: Yes, the wand is water resistant, making it suitable for outdoor training sessions in light rain or wet grass conditions. Simply wipe it dry after use for best longevity.
